We provide a special education for 126 pupils with Communication and Interaction difficulties at primary age (4-11 years). These difficulties include Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and some associated behaviour difficulties. Our greatest resource is the dedicated and hardworking multi-disciplinary staff team who always ’go the extra mile’ . In our concern to meet the needs of the ‘whole child’ parents are frequently consulted and involved in decision-making.
A child at Chiltern Gate is never just ‘one of the crowd’ , but is known as an individual by the teachers, therapists, support assistants, residential care staff, volunteers, canteen staff, office staff, site manager and other professionals who work together as a team.
